Canine foster family - #5 - Only two remain

We found a home for Brownie - the only puppy that wasn't black and looked like their mother. WIthin the next day or so I hear from HART that the two puppies there also found homes.

The two that are left with us were the smallest when they came - runts at 20 and 25 lbs compared to the larger puppies at 30-35 lbs. They are both healthy, now, even the one we were so concerned about when he arrived. He is a little fearful - of his reflection in windows, a bugle playing on the TV, even my active kids - and so I don't think he'd do well in a shelter at all. They seem to find comfort in each other, as well as playmates.

There is a very generous man - a former WCCO Radio personality - who called me out of the blue from Minneapolis. He offered to transport the whole family down to the Humane Society there. Word is there is a shortage on puppies there and they are adopted, on average, in 1.5 days! Unfortunately, the trip would be too expensive to be practical for only two puppies.

I guess I'm looking for more prayers and suggestions as well as for permanent homes. If you or someone you know happens to be in the market or willing to add an unexpected but precious member to your happy home, I'd love to hear from you. Also, if you have any acquaintances with service dog or therapy dog organizations, I do think they have potential ... Any leads you can offer are appreciated...

We are very grateful to the folks who have given us some monetary help - that has helped cover some of the puppy food. We have not yet been abe to get the puppies any veterinary care, however, or any flea and tick preventive - we have three dogs of our own and that's plenty for one family to handle.
