The Democrats and Gun Control

The Democrats and Gun Control

If you look through the warm and fuzzies that the democrats try to portray when they speak on the issue of gun control and the Second Amendment, you will see why Al Franken , Obama, and Clinton do not like to talk about the subject. To millions of Americans, it strikes a chord with them when you speak of trying to infringe on their individual freedoms and rights. The bare essence of the right to defend yourself, would be precluded by their “common sense gun regulation.”

Obama as a state Senator voted for bans on the sale of any semi automatic weapons…this included handguns, shot guns, and deer rifles…not just the military style assault rifles. He also voted against legislation that would protect gun owners from prosecution for protecting their homes and families. Here’s how the Chicago Tribune put it: “Obama said he opposed allowing ordinary citizens to carry concealed weapons and that a federal law banning concealed carried weapons except for law enforcement is needed.” As if the law enforcement community has the resources to protect us all, at all times. This is just ridiculous.

Clinton all too as well supports gun bans. Her claim that the police are out gunned, is just proposterious. And she also believes their needs to be a renewed ban on semi-automatic weapons of all types, because she believes there is no need for those type of weapons while at the same time resurrecting the old COPS program that was instituted under her husbands reign.

Then there is Al “not very funny” Franken who has a long anti gun history. Spewing hate for sportsmen, gun owners, and second amendment supporters in his book “Rush Limbaugh Is A Big, Fat Idiot And Other Observations” He also mocked NRA supporters in his book, “ Oh, The Things I Know!” He is also advocating a handgun ban in the Twin Cities. This from a man who has spent most of his adult life…outside of Minnesota. This man and the other democratic leaders are out of touch with real Minnesota.
