Are any of you familiar with the operation of municipal government in Breezy Point? I do not live there but keep seeing discussion in the Echo and other papers. My question is, why does Breezy Point need a city administrator making over $70,000 per year? Most communities that size function just fine with a city clerk. It seems to me that it is just one more way to overspend taxpayer dollars.
Can any of you clarify this for me? Is my assessment an accurate one or is there a demonstrated need?
