I'm a big fan of fireworks. Honest. I love leaning back on a blanket, gazing at the sky above me as bursts of color crackle above. My kids always ask, "Is this the grand finale? Is this the grand finale?"
Finally, the grand finale comes and firework after firework lights up the sky. Amazing.
What I am NOT a fan of is home fireworks. Sure, they can be pretty. But I'd rather leave it to the experts to shoot off the fireworks. Plus, home fireworks seem to go off several nights before and after the Fourth of July.
Call me a party pooper, but I find it quite annoying.
