These are nothing more than reminders since you are all aware of these.
1. This year support your local farmers' and crafters markets.
2. Support your local food shelf. There are still people who need a 'handup'.
3. Buckle up for safety. I received an e-mail from Denise this weekend. One of the University of Oklahoma football team members had a very serious accident last Friday driving to his home in Texas. He was thrown from his vehicle and landed 45 ft. from the car's resting place. He has now been upgraded to serious condition, but might be paralyzed from the waist down. The driver of the other vehicle was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured. The highway patrol feels that since the football player's car rolled over several times that he probably would have been unscathed had he been wearing his belt. It takes five seconds to buckle up and not that long to make sure the little ones are in their safety seats. Isn't it worth the effort?
Great suggestions
I will be dong all three! The farmer's market is where its at.
Our local food shelves are well-run, do something really solid and meaningful, and they help people who really need help, and are not just "scamming the system."
